e-piccolo Re-Volt Route

The e-piccolo Re-Volt route is a NEW e-bike route for the Dartmoor Classic Sportive. It is intended as a supported challenge for e-bike riders to try a longer distance over some hilly terrain.

Entry numbers are limited. The route starts with a 2.3 mile guided section from Newton Abbot racecourse to Clay Pits Way. You will complete this section in small groups, each with a ride-guide.

On reaching Clay pits Way you will see our 'Timing Towers', from here you can ride at your own pace, following the signed and marshalled course.

Entry Fee: £60 (includes processing fees) On the day entry £70 but may not include FREE Cycle Jersey

e-piccolo Re-Volt Feed Station

The Re-Volt route has its Feed Station at Moretonhampstead, which you will reach after cycling the first 26 miles. There is however the small matter of the the Closed Road Hill Climb Competition Segment at 19 miles.
At 19 miles the e-piccolo Re-Volt route merges with the Medio & Grande routes to return back to the Clay Pits Way Timing Towers.

Closed Road Hill Climb Segment

At 19 miles in to the course comes the Re-Volt a closed road segment with a 1.4 mile hill climb averaging 5.4%. Crank up the power as much as you dare but make sure you have enough in the tank to get you home.

There will be e-bike Re-Volt prizes for KOM and QOM e-categories sponsored by Certini.

Return to Event HQ

From the Timing Towers it's just another 2.6 miles back to Newton Abbot racecourse where you will receive your well earned finisher's medal.

The e-piccolo route is officially timed for safety purposes and the times will be published for those interested in their personal ride time.

All cyclists who complete the e-piccolo Re-Volt will receive a Finishers Medal.

Individual times for the Hill Climb Competition Segment will be entered in to win prizes for the e-categories KOM and QOM kindly sponsored by Certini.
